An indo-french Megha-Tropiques scientific workshop has been held in India, at ISRO Headquarters in Bangalore, from 17th to 19th December 2012. 37 french scientists have attended the workshop as well numerous indian colleagues (photo). The preliminary Megha-Tropiques data analysis and results have been presented one year after the launch. These encouraging results are supportive of a full release of the data sets in the coming weeks. A communiqué by the two spaces agencies, ISRO and CNES will be soon released with details on the calendar. Note also that the delegation was kindly invited at the french consulate in Bangalore where the consul, Mr Eric Lavertu and the new attaché for science and technology Dr Jenifer Clark, provided a warm welcome to the french scientists.
