The 3rd International TRMM conference took place in Las Vegas, NV, USA last week and gathered around 150 scientists from all over the world. This year is the ten anniversary of the TRMM mission and the last decade spectacular progress in the science of rainfall remote sensing were clearly summarized during the week; Thomas Fiolleau (MT grd. student), Nicolas Viltard and Rémy Roca attended the conference and presented a communication of the merging of low orbirting satellites together with geostationary imagers for understanding the life cycle of the monsoonal convective systems.
