The Xport polarimetric radar has been successfully installed at the Direction Générale de la Météorologie (DGM) in Ouagadougou , Burkina Faso, together with a network of 16 rain gages.

Just plugged in ! first raw images showing the ground clutter map and clear echoes (probably from the heavy harmattan dusts):

A network of 16 high resolution rain gages (including a 3 gages cluster) was deployed in the nearby for radar calibration/adjustement; the network will be operated together with the DGM technical team:
